December is always a busy time of year here at ARC. There are parties for our clients to attend and visits from some of the local “Santas.” Here are two pictures from our yearly Christmas party sponsored by Fran and Dot Moore. What originally started as a wedding anniversary party the Moores put on, and invited ARC clients to, has evolved into a Holiday Party sustained for years to come thanks to a trust.

We continue to struggle with stagnant reimbursement rates, increased paperwork, training, and other requirements from our government. It is now more important than ever for those who support our mission to make their voices heard in Tallahassee.

Job Opening: Residential Direct Support Professional

Duties include modeling appropriate demeanor, attitude, dress, conduct and interpersonal behavior for developmentally disabled adults while providing individualized training and personal assistance in a group home setting. Responsible for supervision and safety of all residents, and accurately completing all required documentation. Will also handle or assist with meal preparation, household chores, laundry, bathing, and toileting, accompanying clients to community outings and providing transportation using an ARC van.
